Sinking
[Sinking]
Verb
Descended
Dropping
Becoming submerged
Like the ground
Sinking beneath
My feet
Swallowing my heart
Like breathing out all of my air
Then dropping myself
Into the water
And letting myself
Scream
And panic
But it is silent
Nothing comes out
nobody can hear it
I’m the only one that feels it
The violent weight pulling down on me.
Like diving too far in
And not being able to
Save yourself.
