Sinking Me

I begin the day

By wishing to go back to sleep again;

I sink,

Down and down,

As bubbles pour from my mouth

And float to the surface,

And I watch emotionlessly

As I drown in the depths

Of my sorrows

With no way out.

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
