Siren Song
Come to me, in moonlit night
Come to me, when stars are bright
Come listen to my eerie song
Come join me 'fore the break of dawn
Come let me free you from your mind
Come let me help your past unwind.
This is my siren's song; unsung,
But if you listen, it might come
Through night and storm and rosy dawn,
My voice will echo if you're calm
enough to hear it--that's the rub
For if you aren't; if you dare to snub...
Things won't end well, if you do,
And that's a promise--I'll be true.
You'll have a choice, come break of dawn,
to stay or go--here's Siren Song.
A choice it be, while fair and true--
Well, that's a lie, though it's not new,
You'll stay with me. I know you will.
Or I will sing, and that will fill
you with remorse; so deep, so pained
you'll choose to stay--all will remain
For none can escape.
None can go free.
This is my song.
This is me.
