Sirens


Descent into slumber accompanied 
By colors projected through my window
Paired with the soothing wails of sirens 
That speed past for unknown reasons
Holding me at the edge of consciousness 
Until my grasp of reality slowly slips away 
As the sirens fade into the dark night.
