Sister

Sister, you seem to be just like me But you are more difficult as can be. You take my jeans, tee-shirts, and socks That on my door I want a lock Spending time on Facebook takes you hours But never seems to cut into your hour long showers. When you’re finished, the bathroom is like a pig pen And that happens over and over again. Sister, you love to put make-up on your face But at times it was too wild for my taste You taught me how to wear eyeliner And it made my face even finer. Your love for bracelets, neon colors, and zebra stripes Texting, skulls, seahorses make you a unique type. Your style is yours and people love your shoes But wait! Some of those shoes are mine! You lose Sister, now and then you are as stubborn as a mule Don’t study but still get good grades at school You’re smart, you’re clever, and have many friends That have stuck with you through to the very end You helped me with many difficult choices To make me smile, you cracked me with up with your funny voices When times for you got stressful and bad We had each other even when we were sad. Sister, fighting happened many times in our room Crash, Pow, Whack, Bang, Boom Stuff and words really flew It ended and then we felt blue I miss you now that you have moved away At times I wish you could stay Your smile is a mile wide And that is something you should never hide
