Sister

Three feet away from me sits my sister,

My hilarious, talented, little sister.

I watch her, and I cannot help but weep.

On the exterior, she is there, I know who my sister is,

but when I look past that, I see nothing but a stranger.

Someone who is lost in an abyss of darkness with

no light at the end to save them.

I want to cry out, scream, stomp my feet just

to make this all go away.

Where did my sister and best friend go?

I miss her, yet she has shut me out.

I'll miss you, but I must let you go

because after all, you are just a stranger.
