Sister

Dad always said “you only have one sister”

That he was right.

Life on earth without you isn’t life.

Never did I ever think you’d be gone,

Gone by your own hand.

I thank God everyday,

Mom got the call,

That you weren’t higher,

That you now have help.

I blame myself for not being there;

I know it was hard when I left.

I know mom and dad blame themselves.

Everyone is here for you;

I am only a phone call away.

Less than three hours I will be there;

I know sometimes three hours seems too far.

But for me,

Life without you on this earth, isn’t life.
