Sisterhood

Sisterhood

its constant bickering

pulling hair

name calling

and "Mom! She hurt me!"

Sisterhood

its a shared, unkept room

a fort out of chairs and blankets

imaginary games

and throwing a balled up sock

Sisterhood

its an unbreakable bond

a best friend

a personal bodyguard

and shoulder to lean on

Sisterhood

its whispers in the dark

inside jokes

bear hugs

and silent treatments

Sisterhood

its a lifetime commitment

growing old

sitting in a rocking chair

and making fun of the younger generation
