Sisters

As I left for college to spread my wings,

I packed all of my belongings and was ready to leave.

A two hour drive isn’t that far,

but not living at home really broke my heart.

After a while I got settled in,

and before I knew I met a group of girls I now call my best friends.

The thought of sorority life was scary at first,

but now I feel so loved my heart could burst.

Nursing school has not been easy

but studying with my nursing sisters made it breezy.

 From 2 am silly laughter,

to taking finals the morning after.

My sisters are the ones who get all the cred,

because without them I would barely get out of bed.

A shout out to my sisters, they are the real MVPs,

because without them I wouldn’t be me!
