Sisters

this is for my sisters

wounded in the fight

who lost parts of themselves

to the other side

who’s agonized cries

went unheard

because they’re inclined

to trust his word

over hers

i’m here to say

i believe you

i promise on my life

that i won't leave you

to fend for yourself

against the men

who will stop at nothing

to see your end

believe in the women

who will stand by your side

and when you fall

we’ll keep the fight

burning in the hearts

of our sisters
