Sitting Alone
The ones that sit alone, in the back, that are quiet
have reasons.
Not many can understand them
until they, themselves, have felt it;
but they won’t
they can’t.
Saying ‘stop being shy’
Doesn’t help.
In fact it hurts.
You’re telling me
to push away apart of myself.
Instead of saying STOP
use COME,
Come do this,
Come do that;
not STOP being shy
STOP displaying a part of yourself.
Have you ever tried
to befriend someone
who’s alone
Instead of giving up
on them?
