Six

I say "Hi" to myself

My six-year-old self

So I can warn her

Of the things that will come

Be carefree while you can

Please have no worries

Don't grow up just yet

You don't know what will come

It will be a few years

But your world will change

For bad, not for good

For the rest of your life

Your brain will start seizing

It will be torture

It will get better

But then get much worse

You will feel defeated

You will want to die

Will want it to stop

Anyway it will stop

Somehow you will hold on

And will live your life

Rising above it

And you will seize the day

So be a child now

While you have the chance

Before you grow up

And before the seizures
