Six and a Half Months Late

What are you doing? Sitting alone?

I thought id write you this last song..

for you, the one behind the bars..

Taken from the ones you loved,

Just to fill that need, all I ask is why

Oh, Why?

The tears never seem to fade

Staining my face with streaks

will it take a few years,

Days or Weeks?

You got so close me

Now youre just a distant

Memory Why?

Oh why?

Was it worth losing your tree?

Or you friends. Man look

You only have one life

cant you see?

Our link got cut with

a little piece of my heart

do you see what you have done?

So why? Oh Why?

Taken from the world you loved

Beaten to death with guilt

Stole her things but she said nothing

so when the cage opens up

When the birds begin to sing

When the sun shines through remember

I have forgotten you...
