Six Years Old

I went to a new school

When I was six years old

One day our teacher got a call

Hide. Is what we were told

Kids went under desks and into closets

Hide anywhere you can!

I couldn't think of where to go

I remember seeing a man...

I couldn't what was in his hand

But it made a great big sound

Then something hurt inside my chest

And I fell to the ground

Daddy stopped talking then

Mommy always cried

I'm not sure what happened that day

But I'm pretty sure I died.
