Sixteen
Squandering my energy on a lack of commitment,
True appreciation yet none reciprocated.
Growing tired of your effortless emotion
Feet, eyes, ears and mind fatigued due to the way you lack care--
Not just for love, but for the fragility of the innermost soul.
Though you don’t realize, your eyes are a tell-all.
To the rest you think you’re hidden, but in my presence your workings stand exposed.
My wisdom you’ve underestimated, no naive little girl here,
For this time I know I waste.
Once more I have let my instincts trample right over my reason,
Yet your pull is stronger than my resistance, and this gives no other choice but to remain indifferent.
