Sixteen Consequences

A heart pounds in resonance with fear, Thrumming echoes of others’ expectations ache in the confines of a guilty conscious, Condemned skin shivers, repulsed by the judgment, A soul trembles in hysteria. Fingers to fight and tear, Mouth to bark back offense, Eyes to shed lionhearted weeping, Brain to screech in disillusionment. Battle on, lost warrior, Company ostracizes thee, Relinquish not your rebellious spirit, Forever mirthful somewhere. Acceptance rests just beyond horizon, Exploration for new beginnings, Confident is the first step, Heaven will come someday.
