Sixteen Years
nearly Sixteen Years am i
Adolescence’s Peak
the Best time of our life
the Worst time of our life
the Ups
the Downs
the Ins
the Outs
so many Places
so many Faces
a quiet Voice
Lost in the crowd
and looking at Me?
what do you See?
and everywhere Labels
labels on Clothes
labels on Friends
labels on Foes
and looking at Me?
what do you See?
in a vast Sea of Faces
often Invisible am i
a Face rarely recognized
Loneliness, a feeling not unknown
and in these nearly Sixteen Years
i’ve been Pushed Down
but yet from the dust I Rise
Dreams, a feeling not unknown
Now Look at Me.
Now Tell Me.
What do You See?
