Sixth Grade

In the sixth grade

disrespecting teachers

got work done

knew it all

So I thought

In the sixth grade

English is dumb

writing is stupid

poems are lame

So I thought

In the sixth grade

became a poet

wasn't too bad

Such a surprise

In the sixth grade

realized I was wrong

wasn't just about poems

Such a surprise
