Sizzling

Sizzling,

The heat of a world

It’s far away; the reddest of greys,

Unfortunate,

The cycle of a game,

That’s been

 long overplayed,

spinning and spinning we restart.

Forever,

A lie to the people

Who hide

 under steeples

Of fear.

Stupefied they wait,

For a better day,

But time starts  to waste

And they fade into

The reddest of greys,

Tragedy,

The world closes in,

It’s gone ;too thin,

And all that hangs on

Is an elapsed memory.
