The Skeleton Dance

This homecoming turned into a revealing as you began to show me all of the skeletons in your closet. They were all lined in a row as you placed them on display for me. With each memory that you shared, you began to dance and sway, forcing their lifeless arms into movement. For years you wished to introduce me to your friends addiction, mental illness, and depression. But they all stayed hidden away, watching me behind closed doors as I played with my dolls And grew up into the woman I am now. I may not have told you, But I knew they were there. I had been waiting for you to introduce me.
