Skeletons

And I’ve been thinking of those skeletons; the ones you hide away, of terrible secrets you will never let see the light of day. And I’ve been thinking of your past, the one that makes this life a hard place to stay, of the bones that haunt you every goddamn day. And I’ve been thinking of that door, shut tight to keep its contents spilling on the floor, the one that never opens, so that no one can see more. Won’t you open that door? Don’t you want to see more?
