skies

The stars they flew to Germany
While the sun stayed to shine down on me
Does that leave me the earth
Or the moon
Or the distance in between?
Choking hazard, warning signs
I listen well because I know
I slip in and out like grass
Weaved upon a basket.
His face, her face, different like some
My face, doll face,
Do I choose sun? If I choose sun
Will sun choose me?
Will no one ever let me be.
