Skies

Chasing blue skies where clouds swing agape,

I’m so close to clear air but my luck escapes.

Rain swaddles from behind me as my coat gets damp,

Chills crawl my spine and it makes my skin dance.

But my coat soon dries and I’m back to a sprint.

Because where rain drenches sunshine come again.
