Skinny

I wanted to be skinny

to fix all that I saw

to bring myself some dignity

and try to get through it all.

I made myself a plan.

I was ready to follow through.

But now I'll be stuck all fat and alone

All because of you.

You said "Do whatever,

I can't stop you, I guess."

But I'd do anything to make you think

that I'm nothing like the rest.

You never said you hated me

or that I did something wrong

You said you didn't want me to starve

Even though it wouldn't be for long
