Skinny Isn't Everything
For those who truly care,
Eating Disorders are far from rare.
The voice of ED is such a villain,
But infuses the mind of over 8 million.
I would personally like to share,
My horrible experiences to make others aware.
It all started with true intentions,
But soon took the path to all new dimensions.
Though rejecting chocolate was very tough,
I restricted my eating because I was never skinny enough.
Pounds and pounds continued to shed,
That many questioned if I was being cared for and fed.
My dad finally admitted me to an eating disorder facility,
Where regaining my health became my prime responsibility.
The four weeks in residential treatment felt like a year,
But my true purpose on earth became so clear.
I need to spread the news about Eating Disorders,
And connect those who suffer with effective supporters.
Life is too precious to destroy your amazing interior,
God made you perfect, just look in the mirror!
