The sky

Mon, 06/17/2019 - 20:45 -- BrieG23

Oh wow how time flies

Flying higher than those butterflies

Thought I was simply floating now Im soaring in the sky, limitness

Never thought of time and seasons

Thougth of endless nights and running to chase the sun

Long hair flowing, as I trip on my shoe-laces

Breaking nails and laughing at jokes I'm too young yet to get

Overlook the evils of the world

Mistaking hate for love

Thinking theres no demon under my bee

Growing now

Seeing the fog fleeing the surface

Seeing the horrors of the world

Blood, hate

Staining my shirt

Long hair hanging, missing my shoes

Forgetting to run toward the sun

Looking up in the sky, now choosing to fly

Be the change I wish to see, Making the sky know

It does not limit me

For I am growing, I am having to grow

I an adult and the sky will yet to be the limit
