Sky
God is crying the tears I can't
Washing away the sins I repent
Lost things I know I can't get back
Lost you when I know what we had was true
Time is fleeting and there's no where to escape
Desire to turn back the hour glass
Doubt I'll outrun the sun
Couldn't say everything I wanted
Tried singing the things I lacked
But it's hard when music has abandoned me
Leaving misery in its wake
Into the fog I lept distorting my views
Couldn't see the heart of darkness circling his prey
Hunger for the pains of regret
I know that I can't survive this fight
The question now is do I try
With only so many grains left
I must let you go
Hopefully music will strum again
Caressing her lost child
Healing within
God will cease crying
and smile
at the angel he's created
and the person I've become.
