Slamming the 'Ideal Kid'
Why are you so quiet? You need to speak up!
You're so loud! Shut up! No one cares what you have to say!
You're so mellow and mild-mannered, you should liven up a little.
Stop bouncing around! Are you unable to sit still?
I'm sorry.
I'm not perfect.
But who are YOU to tell me I'm not?
Who told YOU that your definition of the ideal kid was the one we all had to follow?
It's not like anything would be good enough for you anyways.
Leave me in peace.
Let ME be ME.
You don't have to like my personality.
I don't exist to displease you.
I'm not some broken toy you need straighten out.
So lay off the criticism.
I can't breathe!
I don't care what you think of me.
I don't care if you don't like me.
I don't care for your approval.
And I don't care for your "guidance".
You try to change me...
and who I am.
But you can't...
Because I'm ME.
This is WHO I AM.
