Slash
Wallowing in darkness
never to be free
my soul is labeled
"do tread on me"
My only known savior
shines silver in the light
my insignificant friend
my only way to fight
I hold it high above my head
by inspection, seems clean
then eyes closed and tearful
I bring it down real mean
Small beads of red
soon form and arise
but i know their true power
through even closed eyes
Mild relief comes
but it doesn's suffice
so I raise it again
no time to act nice
The torture slowly lifting
like a balloon with a leak
emotional tears stop flowing
becoming only physically weak
I start slicing faster
might as well make a game
count in different languages
or carve a picture of shame
Invisible ache decreasing
while forming scars to be
but my heart wants permanency
it has a quiet plea
I know what it wants
to forever lose sorrow
and ive decided to act
Ive decided to cancel tomorrow
I've had a little note ready
waiting patiently for this day
when forever my suffering
would just go away
Already blod drenched
it rests in my palm
explaining what has happened
ordering to stay calm
Ready and able
I continue my quest
for that tunnel which white
where my soul can rest
After hitting a dozen
I change to my right
patiently waiting 'till
I have no pain, feeling, or sight
After another twelve
my body starts to numb
eyes open to drenched hands
from pinky to thumbs
Knowing its too late
cant go back if i desired
I drop my little friend
and lay down tired
My exhausted feeling
is surely and omen
I will never cry again
my red saftey net woven
As i sink from the world
to the one with white light
the only grief left in me
is my gruesome sight
Warmth fills my body
as I drift away
nothing else to be done
and only one thing to say
"Im sorry
forgive my defeat
I've grown up
no more ain can I meet"
"Goodbye those I love
and the few who love me
I know you are lost
so lost you can't see"
But now I can be happy
joyful once more
no more days
wil I go to be sore
I've said all I must
now my existence will cease
It started with a slash
and ended with peace
