Sleep

Where is the line

Severing night and day

It resides in our mind

Yet is so far away

Where consciousness meets

Its state of unrest

A new world emerges

Our thoughts are its nest

Drowsiness lingers

Aimlessly trying

To manifest fully

It thinks it is dying

But when the sun rises

The mind is begotten

And the subconscious realm

Is dreamt it’s forgotten
