Sleep
I like sleeping
It takes away the pain that lives inside of me
It takes away the thoughts that wander the halls when I’m awake
I don’t cause any harm to anyone, not even myself
And the tears stop falling down
I’m unconscious
I dream of the perfect life things
All the things I dream to be
But once my eyes blink twice, regaining consciousness in all their might
I feel myself fall apart once more
Awaken by the five am alarm clock
Where my room is dim and I can only feel what surrounds me
My pillow, my blanket, myself
Where I lay, thinking of ways to put the pain away
Thinking of ways to not let anything show except a nice smile and eyes that seem full of glow
And as soon as I’m aware, it’s time to start the day
I pray that the time goes by fast
So I can tuck myself in at last
And lose myself in the name of sleep
Where I can be alone
With my true, broken self
And dream of a world, I’m forever happy
