On Sleep
I drift gently,
With the flutter of each eyelash,
Into a land of soft fluffy clouds,
Talking animals and smiling clowns,
Furry pets and comfy bears,
Falling gently into the magical land of sleep, in a flash.
There I lie for a borrowed while,
Ensconced gently in her care.
I visit nameless places,
With faceless friends,
Doing impossible feats,
Without a thought,
Without a care, while I am there.
Into this land of pleasant dreams,
Of sweet surrender and peace,
Of shelter and simple comforts.
I invite you to join me.
Just close your eyes to get here.
I extend my hand, and ask,
"Will you join me?"
