Sleep

My most valued treasure

My only escape

Has been stolen

The thief

He is a cruel little boy

His face says man

And so I trusted

My most valued treasure

My only escape

Has been stolen

I told him

If he ever came back

His head would be on a platter

My most valued treasure

My only escape

Has been stolen

He did come back

And yet

My threats were proven empty

Although

I said

I have no qualms with your death.

But

A parent should never burry their child

And

Mine have

Why make them suffer again?
