SLEEP

Sleep
is the only thing
that’s completely
my own, and yet
I sometimes lose it
for others
on every weekday.

But between the
previous workweek
and the next one,
amidst those two waves,
I get to rest
in an alarm-less sleep:
no clock, no hurry,
no work and no worry.

And this has partly
become the life
of a generation,
who struggle and strive
for an yet-to-be found
satisfaction!
