Sleep

Another night awake for me, why won't sleep come, what's wrong?
Tired of course, fall asleep no probs,
But sleep doesn't stay so long,
Will visit at work but that's no good,
What ever could I say,
For entertaining a guest like that, in my working day,
But when at night and the invite's out to my little absent friend,
He stays away, no sign of him, I'm almost at wits end,
The answer, drink! No that's not it, though it helps me on my way,
To sleep right through, for just one night is all I ask, I pray,
Come to me tonight my friend, let me sleep some hours away
But if tonight you stay away,
Do not dare to come today! '
