Sleep Paralysis

The wonderful scent of fresh cotton

The cool breeze of fresh air

My eyes close shut

I fall asleep

Suddenly,

Something dark appears

What the heck is going on?

I quickly fall back asleep

Not again, not again

I try to take a peek

I can’t open my eyes

My heart races,

I can’t move a single bit.
