Sleeping Alone

I can't do this anymore

your words are drawing me in,

but you're so far.

I want you to be near me,

on me, in me.

I want to taste you,

feel you, and know you.

I want to lay beside you

and synchronize my breathing

with yours.

We can pretend that time

is endless

and remain here indefinitely

Pretending that nothing else exists
