Sleeping Beauty
It's my destiny
To fall asleep,
But I lie here wide awake.
My head ablaze
But my body still
Silently awaiting my fate.
For I cannot sleep,
How hard I try,
My mind just blazes on.
So I'll sit in silence,
And wait alone
Until my mind is gone.
Farewell Sleep, Welcome Insomnia.
It's been quite a while since last I've seen you.
And now you stand, guarding between
Me and my own fate.
Goodnight Sleep, Goodmorning Insomnia.
It's getting harder and harder to keep my eyes closed.
But maybe I can't fall asleep
Because I'm afraid to dream.
