Sleeping Beauty

The sticks I pull to the clouds I release

Will never satisfy the taste I crave

Awaiting true loves embrace

To wake me up from the endless slumber

Helpless and empty, hopeless and vanity

Happiness seems so far away and so close

The constant thoughts in my head scrambles my brain.

Is love real?

Am I supposed to find it or will it find me

The pain keeps me sedated

Eyes open, eyes closed

Darkness is all I see

The motions keep me under

Blind to see the beauty

I rest in high places and yet I'm still falling

I've meet the devil

He has brown eyes and soft lips

The whispers influence death and despair

They say to give up, there's nothing left

I reside in the trenches of my mind as the intruder takes over

May I wake from my suspension to internalize life's beauty
