Sleeping Dare

It was on a dare you see

 to climb that wall

cut through the briers.

And that was only the beginning.

The place was filled

with dust galore.

The young man. Had

allergies, you know.

But pride made him go

despite all the grit.

He made his way

to the top of that tower.

Just as his friends said

a girl lay asleep.

He gathered his courage

He took the leap.

A quick peck on her lips,

that's all he could do

before he raced from the room

and from her breath

The princess woke up.

Startled of course.

Wouldn't you be?

If someone kissed you

On a dare?
