Sleeping In The Rain
I know what it feels like to sleep in the rain. I know the feeling of each individual droplet, and how it somehow possesses power to bring forth pain. I know what it feels like to be drenched in the wetness of despair, and to feel isolated from the outside world. For in life our experiences with the deepest impact don’t escape us. Instead they mold, and fold us into better versions of ourselves. Although some experiences we encounter might transpire to be negative; the constructive outcome is always the transformational phase. For I know and the generations before me knows what it feels like to sleep in the rain. So with Pride I stand upon the foundation of freedom and moral responsibilty, and with honor my heart beats with joyous rythms. Because I recognize that I share the same blood with those who have learned to overcome the thunderous storms of oppression. Those who bodies no longer shiver from the coldness of the world, but those who hearts dwindle with in the love of God. Although I know what it feels like to sleep in the rain, I also know what it feels like to be loved.
