Sleepless

If you go to sleep

Everything will make sense again

In the morning.

A brief absence, a wipe

A rest that thieves your life and time but

Relieves your woes

Reorganizes things to fit proper and good,

High functionality and minimal waste and all that shit.

How does a brain think

If it’s barely awake, dude?

Thoughts are based on something based in reality like an emotion or a weird looking cactus or freckle on your left forearm that

Was not here with us a few days previous, absent of conglomerated epithelial tissue,

Squashing and prodding each other with an intent to only grow further to grasp the air filtered through our leaves.
