Sleepless Dreams

There’s a tapping noise repeating like a never ending intro

And a light that I should know is only coming from my window

When my eyes are closed I cannot shake this ever playing chorus

As I toss and turn and wonder what fates will lie before us

I see jumps and cuts and trips and falls

Hear no’s, goodbyes and ended calls

Fear screams and yells and forgotten forever

See images of all ties being severed

And I toss and turn just nearly asleep

As questions crawl, and tiptoe, and creep

About a day when all will be as seems

And I can be rid of these sleepless dreams
