Sleepless Nights

My heart has been breaking For quite some time My faith has been shaken Peace impossible to find. Sleepless nights are all I know Can't get it out of my head At night it gets too lonely Emptiness on your side of the bed. Should've always been an us I still don't know where we went wrong Hearts invaded by such a powerful mistrust The relationship wasn't as strong. They say time heals all wounds But not when someone was your sun and your moon Broken promises and unfulfilled dreams Love's not as blissful as it seems. I wrote this on one of those sleepless nights Drowning in my own sorrows No one to stroke my hair and hold me tight Silently praying you’ll return tomorrow. Deep in thought I almost sworn I heard your sweet voice whisper my name But when I look around, The silence confirms it was only my mind playing tricks on me Once again, you are nowhere to be found. .
