Sleepless Nights

Sleepless night and a flickering light

the shadow glares, from above it snares

slow tunes fill this space with nostalgia

a tear escapes, maybe two

too weak to move, too strong to lose

Tomorrow is now today and time has not yet cured this sadness

but may it bring me rest for now
