A Sleepless Night's Thoughts

Poems are pretty, but I figured you weren't into those

then I thought of a note, but that seemed so antiquated

a song would take too long

and I'm too scared to tell you in person

emails are too insincere,

and asking a friend to tell you is just weird

So, after a long night with a too-busy brain

I figured I would put my thoughts on paper,

After I wrote everything down, I realized it was all wrong

However, I knew it would never be right either

And I know you will never like me the way I like you

But I had to say something

So I started with "Poems are pretty"......

A young girl chasing a dream that can't be caught, Holding onto hope that is too far gone Losing her mind trying to help others get theirs back Prayers go unanswered no matter what she does It's the life of no one, no one but me
