Sliding Into Reality

In the beginning it wasn’t all playgrounds and curly slides

But rather husbands at my moms blue bedside

No long term relationships

But now I know what it is

No comfort in stability

But now I have adaptability

What was wrong with a trying childhood

That’s just it, nothing

I still found imagination

Still strive with ambition

Still hit that curve with no limitation

Because I see what life is

Full of contradictions

We make it our own

We are not inclosed

Rather it’s under our jurisdiction

My curly slide was blue with a chip in the end

My sky is blue with a sun in the center

My sun has left my curly slide faded

Sun bleached

but forever my mentor
