The Slip Away
For your own benefit you stretched your mind and didn't consider your heart. You re-captured your pride and everything just became dark.
You thought you had everything under control until one day you felt a pull and everything just slipped away. You thought nothing of it, and sure you carried on ... but didn't realize her and her love was gone.
So fast, it happened so fast .. What a blur, you thought you had everything under control and it just slipped away like a ribbon on a windy day , gone with the wind your mind is so confused,
And you're ranting around like you don't know what to do , your heat is shackled and your eyes sings the blues you lost the one girl that really loved you and
she just slipped away and now you , your pride and your ego have nothing to say because you let her slip away .
