Friends are a slippery slope

Filled with true and false hope

Hanging from the sky like rope

No its always hard to cope

Without being able to grope

Or grasp

Or hold

When your in a tug of war

It can be a chore

Choosing sides

Burning bridges

It irritates

And itches

Like getting bit by midges

But sometimes you just have to

Create some distance…
