Slipped

I'm Not gone
Say you won't forget
I can't shake no more
Just crumbling like pastry when winter calls again

I can feel the sad old earth tremble
Marigold leaves embed mosaics on your skin
And sun-showers vine your arms
Your basilica bones cradling rough tides that collapse on your cheeks
Help me understand
Why time cowers from the valleys of your threadbare heart
Why death makes love a poor beggar
Why everyday ricocheted off your barrelled rib-cage
One two three
The humdrum silence now speaks me

And medley dreams capture my purged soul
A few steps away from insanity.
Here we go.
